WHAT IS ART THERAPY?

Through the use of visual imagery and simple art materials, residents can explore life experiences and are given the opportunity to express their thoughts visually and verbally. It also provides a nonverbal means of communication for those whos language skills are compromised.

We arrange experienced Art Therapists in order to help individuals cope with anxiety and difficult transitions. The therapy acts as a calming mechanism for many residents in long-term care and retirement facilities.

Masks -- helps express feelings and explores creatiity in a social environment.

Collage -- offers social interaction  when in group settings, and offers residents an opportunity to explore creativity.
