Why is Regular Dental Care Essential?
Regular dental care is not merely about preserving teeth; it is a critical component of systemic health and overall safety. Unaddressed conditions, such as chronic gum disease, create inflammation that can impact other systems, including respiratory and cardiovascular health. By prioritizing professional, routine hygiene, we protect the resident’s capacity for comfortable eating and proper nutrition while significantly mitigating the risk of serious facility-wide health complications related to poor oral status.

Dental Care is Important!
Maintaining a healthy mouth in long-term care extends far beyond physical function—it is fundamental to the resident’s dignity and daily comfort. Unaddressed oral pain or discomfort can severely impact a resident’s mood, interaction, and willingness to eat. Our service prioritizes proactive detection through consistent oral exams and cancer screenings, ensuring minor issues are caught before they escalate into painful emergencies. This preventative focus secures the resident’s comfort, preserves their sense of well-being, and supports a high quality of life.
